My daily dose of fun..

I was checking my mail and i got this, my daily subscription of two of my favourite comics. =) It started with The Star and News Strait Times newspaper comic section back home. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. ;)

I'm singing in the rain...

Rain can be interpreted in many ways... both good and bad...
but one thing is for sure, no matter how you interprete it, rain always brings about the best even if u hate going through/experiencing it. =)

Need further elaboration? Think of it this way...
-Rain is a refresher, it brings life... (take some time to walk in the rain if u don't believe me)
-Without rain, there is no RAINbow... and what a sad thing that would be coz we won't get to see 7 colours at one time in the sky. =)
-After the 'rain', when the 'sun' comes out... everything glitters and sparkles like diamonds and the corny ads on tv when the clean plate, freshly brushed teeth or new car just has that sparkle towards the end of the commercial... =)

I'm sure I can go on with more illustrations but I think 3 is good enough.. after all 3 is a nice number. It just has a complete feeling that 2 and 4 don't have. =P

Well I never expected to type all that out but i just happened to when i sat down to type this out... "I love the rain. One thing I want to do is to spend time with my wife in the rain... I'd wish it would rain at least on one of our dates coz it would be so fun to just go to the park to sit, walk, dance, run or even just kiss in the rain. hahahaha.... getting a lil sappy lovey dovey and a romantic (i know, in Malay we call it 'jiwang'). but I have a romantic side despite my tarzany jungleness... :P"

but b4 I go... BILLY if you're reading this... I think at the point of u being baptized in water, I was too.. but in the rain.. hahaha.. actually its more like a sprinkle. :P I'm so proud of u bro.. You're a legendary champion!! The best is just around the corner...

House of Pain

Ok.. the title is just a cliche thing ok.. I put it up coz its common.. hehehe..
But honestly, I was at La Trobe library looking for some books on pain (hers not mine) and I found out there are heaps of books on 'pain'. Made me think.. there is so much pain in the world today.. and the books may not literally say much or represent the entire world. But think about it.. everyone is hurt or going through heaps of pain. Its everywhere.....

But you know what?? I've got the answer to all the pain in the world... The one thing you can never go wrong with... and you can have it too.. Its found here...

(its amazing how we humans have the all we need to know to live stupendously in the world right in front of us, yet we choose to study and experiment and find out the hard way. Who would u go to? The guy selling you something, or the Creator Himself? )

Another I noticed was how happening La Trobe University was... I never knew we had regular Thursday Markets. I just found out.. and its pretty cool despite its size.. its nice..

And they have a band that plays in the Agora... Lunchtime entertainment.. How cool is that.. =)

Randomnessity...

I think we should be reminded of what our names mean...
Its important and I feel very significant in our lives.. names aren't just names.

So I'll start..

My name is Jeremy (root name Jeremiah).
It means "God Exalts".

Despite Procrastination...

I can't believe I'm not a tad tensed or worried about my assignments. Am I immune to it or just cocky and over confident that it will be a piece of cake?

I haven't blog for so long and only now when I got really close deadlines that I am..

Wait.. What am I even doing blogging? I should be reading and typing away my stuff...

WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDS!!

I was just walking out to the bus stop early this morning and there was this house standing... when I came back, it was flattened out! Nothing left but rubble...

I bet there are a thousand ways to illustrate this coz its such a common example to use. Maybe you've heard this before but I'll use this to illustrate something O so common that happens no matter where you are.

As I walked pass the rubble I was thinking to myself.. "Wow.. that was fast.. I passed this house like 4 hours ago and now this is all that remains? I wonder how long did it take to build..."

With that I was reminded of words and from my current conversation on MSN with Shauna, she is repetitively writing "WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDS" and I mean this literally. (She's rushing for a deadline... so she needs to finish her essay asap.)

Words are simple daily things we say but such power comes with it and thus I'm reminded of the line from Spiderman "With great power comes great responsibility" (its become so cliche nowadays that line).

Our words can tear down something built that may have taken years.. but just 1 minute of wrongly used words.. it can turn into rubble. I've looked at my language recently and I found tons of garbage that come out. Words that need not be said... words that should build instead of pull down or restrain a person from growing. My dad once told me "If you have nothing worth saying, don't say anything". It kinda sticked in my head that line and I've always analyzed myself with that.. is anything I'm saying worthwhile? Does it build or tear down? Do I really need to say this, what are the possible consequences? Its amazing how our brains can process so many questions at such a rapid speed, even Bill gates can't come up with a chip that fast...

Anyways..I might not have gotten a point accross but I just wanna end with this two scriptures...

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up..." (1 Thes 5:11)

"But my mouth would encourage you; comfort from my lips would bring you relief." (Job 16:5)

I've gotta get to my assignments which is due on Thursday. =)
