Evening Skies of Melbourne (26.08.05)

I was walking back from the bus stop one evening (the 26th of August if I've not mistaken) and i was being my usual self until i turned my head right and saw.... WHOA!!
No.. no.. no.. It wasn't an angel or a gorgeous lady in red with a face that glows and a killer smile along with the killer legs.... (dun let ur imagination go to far ok).
I saw this... (in the photo's below)

I tried to capture it the best i can on my camera but it wasn't top notch so this is the best i could do. not to mention i was sitting on the road in the cold trying to get a good angle for the shot. haha... but i enjoy it. I pray God will give me an SLR camera, a Semi-pro Digital Video cam (specifically a Canon SL2), a Apple Powerbook G5 (i know not out yet, looking to the future mah..), basically enough equipment to run a small production la. =) oh and not the forget the Mazda RX-8 and the Nissan 350Z. hehe... I know He can afford it la but whether i need it or not is another question altogether... haha....
Anyway, just wanted to share these pictures with u. and if u wanna view some of my favourite pictures check out http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeremyteo83
I think most of the pictures there are here as well so its up to u if u wanna check it out la.. there is all my experimental photography la. hehe...

Birthday Dinner (25.08.05)

My first birthday in Melbourne actually in Australia overall la... hahaha...
Well this year was special coz I (humbly) celebrated it with my cousin (Ian) who is the same age as me and just 5 days elder. We've never been around for each other's birthdays coz he lived in Singapore and I'm in Klang then he moved to Australia and I'm still in Klang.. so yeah. This is the first along with my Uncle, Aunt, Cousin Sister (Amanda), Samantha and Bryan. In case you're wondering Samantha and Bryan are 'family friends'. hehe... Well Sam lives with the family and has been helping me out alot. She's my human map and transportation guide. hehe.. And I meant that in a nice way ok, I'm not using her mind u. I dun do those things...... anymore. =P
So yeah, we went to Jackie's Kitchen near where we live. Guess who owns the restaurant? hehe... if u guessed Jackie Chan, 10 points for u. (u can go to the nearest kedai runcit, grab a packet of Mamee and give the man at the counter 20cents) What? No kedai runcit? too bad...
Well it was a fun night and something really different for me coz i normall have dinner with my family, mamak with friends or the last one, I came home late after work and was resting on the sofa when My close friens walked out from the kitchen singing me a birthday song and my mum came back with pizzas. hehe... thats certainly one to remember. =)
Well, I'm not much of a 'celebrate my birthday' kinda guy. I like things simple and this was simple enough so i'm happy with it. =)

Planet Uni:Urban1000:Graffiti-20th August 2005

20th August 2005, 1.30pm
It was a cloudy day and we were on the roof of Raymond's place(Raymond is the cell leader) overlooking Melbourne City. The Urban Life group (cell) organized a graffiti competion with a special guest, a graffiti artist said to be the best in Australia. The event was under the Planet Uni ministry.. actually the cells fall under Planet Uni.. hehe...

We had a barbeque b4 the competition started and satay was included in it... with 'kuah' somemore...

Our chefs were more than happy to be barbequeing the food....

And while everyone was playing 'Pepsi Cola' while waiting for the food...... our friend Jonathan was already feasting away. =)While all the cooking, eating and playing was going on..

our 'specialist' was already hard at work. After all the eating and playing, the competition begins....
and while all this is going on, our 'man' is still busy at work..
And while all this is going on, I'm busy taking pictures...

(i did draw a lil but knew i had no talent in it so i went back to pictures...) ..this is Tjokro. Gotcha! hehe...And this is 'the man'...
This is so cool.. a personalized shoe..
Raymond and Iris (the owner of the shoe)"What is art without the artist's signature?"

Art Attack has a new host... Tjokro! The finish masterpieces...The people behind the scenes...It was a great day with great people around, a great graffiti artist, great organizers, a greatlocation with a great view and the most most most important thing...

..all this was done for a Super Duper Great Great God who is the greatest artist in the universe. He created the sunset and He did create u and me didn't HE?. =D

My roomie... Cute yet irritating at times.. =)

This is my roomie! Well she doesn't sleep with me but she does hang out with me alot.. =)

Biodata:
Name : Cookie
Age : dunno
Nationality : Singaporean
Species : Shih Tzu
Hobbies : playing catch and catching.
(only both of us play catching la... what to do, no one else at home)
Trademark moves : Barking whenever she hears or think someone is at the door... always get the tv sounds mixed up with the real thing.. hehe...

Well, thats pretty much on her.. We communicate with each other very well. She understand a lil of english and i speak bits and pieces of dog tongue. hehe... =D

Taking some more photo's while waiting for the bus..

Testing out with shadows. This one is my shadow... i've got my headphones on ok, my head is not out of shape.
U might be wondering "what the heck is this?"
well, it isn't a slide i coloured in photoshop, its the clear blue sky...
Well, this didn't quite turn out the was i expected... I shot it through the glass and it wasn't very cleanla and compostion could have been better. Well, we all learn from mistakes.. =)
this one... If u see the far background right, thats the hills and it actually goes around the building. Kinda feels like I'm leaving in a valley or within super high walls. Imagine if those were giant armies or a tsunami... whoa.. freaky. Lets not allow my imagination to venture further.. hehe..

My regular lunch in Melbourne... =)

This is the place near where i live. hehe... i usually come here and get lunch, bring it back so i can veg out in front of the tv... lol... Very nice fish and chips here..
This is just an appetizer.. I dunno why but i have such a craving for sugar here.. and most of the time its for chocolates... dun know why. Hmm....
This is lunch... hehe... it ain't fish and chips, i call it Chook-Fish & Chips. =D Yum yum... I hear stomachs making noise... hehe..
This wasn't part of the meal... but its a new discovery. Imagine how handy this would be for camping. Condensed milk packed in a hand lotion packaging. =)

My new toy... lol.. more like gadget.

This my friends is the new headphones i got. Yes size does matter.. hehe.. Well, I actually wanted to get something like this for quite sometime now coz the small one that fits into ur ear is irritating, the compact version of this (u know the thin one) lets too much outside sound in, so this it perfect. =) It cost $60, but to me its worth it la.. coz i've been craving for it. I actually thought i'd wait til end of the year but everytime I saw 'JB Hi-Fi' (the music store), i felt it was calling me.. so loud til one day i just said, I'm gonna get it la, dun care already. haha... bad shopping habit, i know.. =P

Latest addition to my slowly growing personal library...

These are some DVD's I figured will be interesting to have around.. =)

...and these are the books i got. All from the same author and producer of the DVD's.
This one (above) is targetted towards youths. Its about decisions u make in the dark when no one sees, but these are the biggest dicesions you'll ever make.
This one 'The Future is X' is more for for thos 21 or 22 and above. Its about how important u are and your part to play in the world today. (in the Christian context, for God)
I think this one pretty much says it all..
Can't rememeber what this one is about.
(i haven;'t read all of them, i'm telling u based on review) hehe..

And this, this is a plastic bag. lol.. well, its where i got all these from la. hehe...
